Window Dressing

In an effort to foster outside-the-box thinking, the BFA Painting candidates herein were presented the formal problem of resolving a conventionally formatted, rectangular-shaped painting in three dimensions. They were asked to do so by adhering and arranging objects onto, next to, and in front of their respective canvases. Imagery, be it abstract or realistic, was to extend outside the rectangle in an upwards swell, laterally and into the viewer’s space.
